Like a lot of other trumpet players I keep a valve trombone around, just because... So I was recently hired by singer/songwriter Alexander Peters to create and record trumpet parts for a CD he was working on called "Warm Butter". He also inquired about trombone players so I thought what the heck, let's see what the old Getzen can do! So off to Sweetfoot Studios I went. A traffic mishap kept Alex from making it to the session (I have yet to meet him!) so I just worked it out with Shea Springer, who owns and runs the studio.
So, without further adieu, here are my first ever trombone performances on a commercially released recording:
